BONNAROO - 2008 POST SCRIPT
Predicated on the historical references of musical festivals, Bonnaroo has always been a constant in comparisons to Monterey 67, Woodstock 69 and Summer of Love in 67. These monumental events are the legacy left by the pillars of the Counter Culture and the Musical Revolution of the sixties, i.e., The Golden Age. These events were designed to perpetuate the ideology and the music that defined it and are now the folklore for those who were there and who continue to attend events that are constantly analyzed and compared to these celebrated festivities of yesteryear.

Chet Helms, Michael Bowen, Allen Cohen and Bill Graham have forever etched their names in the pantheons of musical immortality but after Bonnaroo 08 in Manchester, Tennessee, the time has arrived where comparisons and references have become passe.
